In many places around the world, affordable clean water is not available for drinking and everyday tasks, making safe sanitation during the pandemic impossible. In the crowded, economically unstable neighborhoods of Mumbai, India, a right-to-water campaign is having success in getting thousands of tap water connections into informal dwellings. In West Virginia, coal and fracking industries’ political stranglehold has mobilized neighborhood groups to fight back, protecting their streams and groundwater from toxic waste. This Song and Music Video that Annalyse & Ryan starred in and co-wrote for ThunderWorks won Gold in the 2019 NAVC VETTY Awards. The song, a parody, is a throwback 80s-style driving rock song promoting the company’s flagship pet calming product, the ThunderShirt. Through the lyrics & in the video, Annalyse & Ryan invited humans to ThunderShirt Themselves in order to provide emotional shelter from the current social & political storms that threaten our peace of mind. The video was originally uploaded to Facebook where it received over 40K views.
